Despite this, the Devil endearingly calls King Dice his "number one" (although this was most likely manipulation on the Devil's part)- until the latter fails his job. However, in the show, he is taken much less seriously by the Devil, who initially forgot of King Dice's presence. In the game, he is the self-proclaimed "Devil's Right-Hand Man," and frequently shown next to said character, advising and warning him of the cups' growing power as the story moves along. He is shipped with his boss, The Devil, if anyone. The former is stylistically similar to that of Louis Armstrong, while the latter is more of a homage to King Dice's Calloway roots. The deep singing voice provided by Alana Bridgewater for his in-game theme is hard to forget, and his recent performance by Wayne Brady in The Cuphead Show! is quite memorable in its own right, though the two portrayals are quite different. In the show, he has a different theme called Roll the Dice, which can be found here. He has a theme song called Die House, which is one of the few songs in the Cuphead soundtrack that has vocals. He loses this job by the end of S1E5, however, by failing to obtain Cuphead's soul, and his current status remains to be unknown. In the show, he is instead the charismatic host of radio show Roll the Dice, which is actually merely a ploy to lure unwitting victims into having their souls taken by the Devil. He is the self-proclaimed "Devil's Right-Hand Man", after all. From the start of the game, he is stated to be the "sleazy manager" of the Devil's Casino, and responsible for leading so many characters into falling into debt an NPC in Isle One bemoans the financial crisis that King Dice left him in.
In this fight, he attempts to kill Cuphead and Mugman and forces them into a game where they must fight all of his underlings before they are able to fight King Dice himself. In the game, he is one of the final antagonists that the players must fight, which is also the longest level of the game. His design is heavily inspired by Cab Calloway, who famously wore zoot suits during his performances.
He is always wearing a purple suit, as seen in the article image. In the Glumstone the Giant boss in the Delicious Last Course DLC, a puppet of King Dice has him depicted as a jester.
